PETIT BATEAU
Winners of a competition launched by Petit Bateau to reinvent the concept of all their stores, we have come up with a solution based on 2 essential notions, specific to the identity of the brand: the craftmanship - the "Frenchness" and the kids playfulness.
CRAFTMANSHIP - "FRENCHNESS"
The walls are ornamented with wooden moldings, the floor is in oak parquet. Large oak furniture inspired by haberdashery furniture offer a maximum display and storage in multiple drawers freely accessible to customers and integrate touchscreens to visualize the full color and style range. The pegboard panel sets focus on products. Massive oak tables and wall-mounted shelves with edge molded details, echoing the authenticity of French craftsmanship.
KIDS PLAYFULNESS
The established order of the authentic and classical elements is twisted with the kid’s carelessness and impertinence. The above-mentioned furniture is systematically customized with details of colorful technical fixtures. A wooden structure unfolds on the walls and ceiling of the shop. This structure consists in a falsely naive assembly of natural beech rods connected with colorful lacquered steel joints in reference to children's construction games. This skeleton, a modular display system structures the space and allows to visually distinguish the cashier, the fitting rooms and a kid’s playground. The shop becomes a vast hut, a space suitable for all ages, a real place of destination where adults, teenagers and children meet.
