We had to create a space for a couple who appreciates silence and solitude. It was important to make it spacious and at the same time allow each of the tenants to be alone with themselves. We chose eco-friendly plywood as the main material for walls and furniture.
We gave the maximum space to the living room with the kitchen, while the cooking surface itself was hidden behind a low wall. The balcony became a dining room with circular glazing windows.
All technical areas are designed very compact and put near the entrance area with low natural lighting. This is done in order to free up as much space as possible for the living area.
The bedroom and the study room are also combined -- they are illuminated by one window, but each of the zones has its own entrance. Visually, they are divided by a low wall that separates the podium of the bed from the workplace. The height from the surface of the bed to the ceiling is minimal, which made it possible to obtain additional storage space both in the bedroom and in the study.
