Pillagua Barranco is a residential project of three exclusive, independent single-family homes, located on a steep hillside in Pillagua, Cumbayá. The project was born as a self-promoted initiative by Endara Arquitectos, who comprehensively developed the proposal: from the architectural design and project promotion to its construction and marketing.

The three homes are carefully situated on the slope to take advantage of the views toward the Cumbayá valley and the city, while integrating with the existing vegetation. The architecture is organized through lightweight volumes of steel, wood, and glass, which project over the terrain and establish a direct relationship between the interior spaces, the garden, and the landscape.

The configuration of the complex responds to the particular conditions of the site: a narrow and steeply sloping terrain, a privileged climate, and a constant relationship with the landscape. The social areas and bedrooms open up toward the views. The rear gardens, as well as the porches linked to the social area, are completely integrated with it through large windows that can be fully opened, generating visual and spatial continuity.

The result is a domestic architecture integrated into the landscape, where materiality, structure, and vegetation build an experience of privacy and openness toward the valley.
