The playgroundbuilding stands like an autonomous pavilion in the Pioenpark in Groningen. At the same time, like an manmade stack of tree trunks, it stands self-evidently in the green surroundings. Its appearance stems from covering the concrete shell roof of the existing building with a generous jacket of tree trunks; these cover it like a tent. The space between the tree trunks and the building is semi-climatized and can be used as a circulation space, storage and play space.
