Marazzi presents 'Poliedrica,' an exclusive concept for Via Borgogna showroom by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel that pushes the potential of ceramics to the limit.

Also premiering in the new spaces is the special project 'A new AI generation Marble', large stoneware slabs born from the synergy with Reply and ACPV ARCHITECTS

Marazzi partners in the exhibition 'Rauschenberg and e il Novecento,' open until the end of June at Milan's Museo del Novecento Marazzi, a leading international designer and manufacturer of ceramic and stoneware tiles, unveils the renovated spaces of its showroom on Via Borgogna in Milan Design Week.

The 'Poliedrica' project, curated by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, proposes a contemporary living room, inspired by a domestic flavor, where ceramic is the absolute protagonist. A warm and enveloping setting, in which the use of stoneware transcends the simple covering to become authentic furnishing element. The installation explores its materiality, pushing its application potential to the limit. From the pleated wall to the three-dimensional surfaces of the coated vertical bars, each element contributes to a refined contrast between the sobriety of the coverings and the vibrant shine of the glazed tiles. The bookcase shelves become a stage for displaying objects and suggestions. Ceramic, cut, beveled and jointed, is transformed into elements that tell a story, recall craftsmanship and the ability to transform a material into a unique product, adding depth and narrative to the space.

The working area of Marazzi's Milan space has also been radically reconfigured, introducing an open kitchen that hybridizes functions and languages and becomes part of the exhibition route and brand experience. Made with the new 160x320 Silver Root White and Slow Calce slabs, this kitchen enhances the materiality of the surface thanks to 3D Ink technology, which emphasizes its details and depth. A space in which conviviality is mixed with operativity, generating a flexible space in which even the privé made with high glossy brick backsplashes suggests an intimate retreat capable of adapting to different scenarios of use.

The new installation in the Marazzi showroom offers an immersive experience in which design and functionality come together to redefine the relationship between materials and space, transporting the visitor into a tale of texture, light and tactile sensations.

The most interesting challenge was precisely to use it in unconventional ways, creating settings that not only showcase its beauty, but also highlight its ability to be used for different purposes, creating dynamic and modern spaces. This project, like previous ones, represents an opportunity for continuous experimentation, where each design choice becomes a discovery that enriches the creative process itself."

Also previewed in the new spaces is the presentation of the "A new AI generation Marble" project, born from the creative synergy between Reply, ACPV ARCHITECTS and Marazzi. Inspired by nature and digitally optimized, the new slabs generated with artificial intelligence algorithms - the result of a special production intended for Reply's headquarters spaces in Turin - combine the organic uniqueness of the natural world with digital precision, promoting environmental sustainability and the evolution of ceramic production.

Also, among the novelties presented during Design Week is the volume 'Marazzi Under the Skin,' curated by Studio Blanco and Cosimo Bizzarri, which recounts the brand's 90-year history through a bold and contemporary narrative. A journey through never-before-seen images that explores design and aesthetic evolution of Marazzi, from its origins to Charlotte Taylor's evocative imaginary home, in which spaces and materials are interwoven in a timeless architectural vision, enriched by contributions from architects and designers.

Among the creative dialogues opened by Marazzi is also the exhibition 'Rauschenberg e il Novecento,' at the Museo del Novecento in Milan, which builds, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), a bridge between the works of the American artist and some of the Museum's most significant masterpieces, weaving a plot between the experimental vision of the master of New Dada and the renewed spaces of the permanent collections. The exhibition, curated by Gianfranco Maraniello, Director of the Museums of Modern and Contemporary Art Area of the City of Milan, and Nicola Ricciardi, Artistic Director of miart, will be open until June 9, 2025.
