From the entrance Portico to the terraces, Roman nature combines design to generate an immersive experience and iconic spaces with flowers inspired by Bulgari jewels. The rooftop sublimates the eclecticism and richness of the greenery, while at the same time enhancing the breathtaking view of Rome.
The ninth gem of the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts collection is born in the heart of Rome. Located inside one of the three rationalist buildings by Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo built in the late 1930s, which form the architectural backdrop to the square dominated in the center by the majestic presence of the mausoleum of Emperor Augustus, the critical challenge at the heart of the landscape project was to harmonize with the existing rationalist architecture, underlining its historical importance and, at the same time, creating new interactions with its elements.
In this project, greenery has the role of manifesting the vital energy that has moved into the building.

« When they called us for this project, we began to take a sort of virtual walk through Rome. What do we think the essence of nature in the Eternal City could be? We started from the concept that everything brings us back to the ancient worlds, as if plants had arrived in Rome from far away and slowly settled there, bringing a further story into history». Margherita Brianza - Founder of Parcnouveau.
At the heart of the project is the client's vision of reintroducing the essence of Roman nature into the external spaces of the building. Like nature, this vision bursts into space, creating iconic points and redefining the architecture.
«Great spontaneity distinguishes the image we wanted to give to this project. A Mediterranean garden, characterized by the aromas of pomegranates and olive trees, is contrasted with a garden linked to tropical species, very colorful, which are a clear reference to the jewel effect. The result is a green landscape, which moves between naturalness and attention to detail, wrapping guests in a highly evocative dimension». Luca Manzocchi – Founding Partner of Parcnouveau

The landscape project develops across the various levels of the building, starting from the Portico on the ground floor and extending to the courtyards and Terraces, up to the interior spaces. The Portico, the first space that welcomes guests, is designed to offer an embracing experience. It offers a unique view of the surrounding square, with vegetation that punctuates the entrances and lounges. The different heights of these elements interact with the colonnade, creating a sense of lush greenery and a welcoming atmosphere. The Terraces are places of conviviality, exclusive areas from which to enjoy the panorama of the city and its climate. They are inspired by the idea of spontaneity and eclecticism typical of Roman terraces, spaces in which nature expresses itself through personality and heterogeneity. Pergolas colonized by climbing vegetation provide shade and comfort. Groups of vases and tubs with small trees and Mediterranean vegetation embrace living rooms and tables, giving life to memorable landscapes with a remarkable visual identity.

The Rooftop is the most magical place, a suspended garden that dominates the entire monumental center of Rome, from Villa Medici and Trinità dei Monti to the Tiber and the Gianicolo Hill with an atmosphere that changes and evolves throughout the day. The vegetation extends along the entire edge in tubs of different sizes and with over 200 enameled vases in which a rich variety of native plants and flowers flourish, recalling the gardens of Ancient Roman villas such as Villa Livia and Villa Adriana, generating an iconic and surprising view of the city.
