The Indoor Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool is located at Bornova Aşık Veysel Recreation Area which has intense pedestrian flow. It is designed to be actively used by swimmers and people who are willing to learn swimming. The pool also hosts the matches and training of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Underwater Rugby Team.

The facade design of Bornova Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool gives the building an extraordinary view. Designed steel system carries the gabion walls that are filled with glass rock. This system is used on three facades along with the gray porcelain ceramic plate coating used on the back facade.

The building  is both eco friendly and disabled friendly. It contains a fitness hall and a pool for beginners. The building  is built on 3,200 square meters indoor area and located at the north of the Ice Sports Hall. The pool is 25 meters in length, 12.9 meters in width and 4 meters in depth. It also has a 125-seat tribune. There is a 233 square meter foyer area at the entrance. Sustainability is considered during the design process. The facade of the building which creates a special view at nights is made of recycled glass material and a part of the energy need is provided by the solar panels located on the roof.
