Extraordinary play of colours forms royal bridge in the Netherlands

A colorful glass bridge in Utrecht, Netherlands, ensures an extraordinary color play. It connects the Wilhelmina childrens hospital and the Prinses Maxima Centrum with a length of 160 meters. A total of 1,258 m² of glass with 15 different combinations of Vanceva® colored interlayers let the cold hospital atmosphere disappear. Hence this project won the Vanceva® World of Color Award™ 2018 in the exterior category. The 650 glass panes TG-THERM®sun made of TG-PROTECT®color and TG-ESG® additionally have a Cool-Lite Xtreme coating for optimal protection against sunlight and in case of temperature rise of the building. The glass panes have a maximum size of 2,800 x 2,150 mm.
