“We want a home where we can feel peace and should feel a pause from this fast-moving running world. Make a home that reflects our roots and values.” Client described to us in our first meet. They were a family of 5, including their parents and a 4yrs old daughter.

We tried to make a den for the client – where they are free to be themselves, we did not create any false aesthetics or space that would not reflect who our client is.

Basic zoning and planning of the space was done considering Vastu. Common area was designed to create connectivity between the common spaces for ease of communication and for larger spatial experience.

In the design process – we thought of making a greenish grey shade (similar to kotah) box with light golden yellow shade furniture, black was introduced to balance & compliment the other material palette. Green plants also played a major role in balancing this colour palette.

We tried and designed a space that is not too bright by material, done in minimum material palette, using natural looking material to give a true sense to the space and create a calm ambience.

Through the vision of creating a monochromatic space, all the unwanted but required elements like – fan, AC, light fittings, were all merged in our colour palette so as to not drive attention towards it.

Ultimately by this process of designing in minimizing the elements and materials, we tried to create a space that would offer peace and calmness to the client when they are back at home after a hard day.

8425 is the no. of the colour shade, this colour shade helped us to deliver our thoughts and vision into reality.
