Villa on Como Lake is an amazing project for an Italian woman working in the field of journalism. The main task of designing the future interior was to reconstruct the old villa of her family and turn it into a pleasant holiday home, where the whole family or friends could meet and spend a weekend away from Milan. Quarantine more and more influenced weekdays and made people think about the importance of living in nature. This house serves as a shelter for our customer, so we tried to make it as pleasant and safe as possible for a comfortable pastime.
In an effort to preserve the gorgeousness of the existing building as much as possible, we added stucco with nautical motifs and sockets for the lamps that were once in this room. Also, one of the most important tasks was to place maximum emphasis on the large arched windows. To achieve that, in the main hall, we made the walls white, and the windows as open as possible.
The remnants of marble from the factory were successfully laid on the floor and an accent composition of breccia was created, which became one of the main features of this interior. We also made different rooms for their intended purpose different in tone and color. For example, the main hall turned out to be as bright and spacious as possible. It houses a hidden kitchen, dining area and seating area. There is no TV set in the sofa composition, but there is a sofa opposite. The customer wanted to achieve maximum live communication and relaxation from gadgets in her interior. Surrounded by mountains and a lake, the house, at the request of our customer, was not touched as much as possible by themes of work in all rooms, except for the office.
The bedroom opposite is designed in dark colors. It combines eggplant and dark green shades, which gamma was taken from the landscape of San Fruttuoso Gulf’s coast. The room itself is intended purely for relaxation. The design of our customer's office is made in the most pastel shades, soothing and setting up for calm work and brain activity. At her desk, you can see her pride - a typewriter, which the owner of the house bought from one famous author early in her career. The bathroom continued the drawing of the breccia on the floor, but the main attraction of this house was the bathroom with a window.
In general, the main feature of the house was its carelessness and desire to get lost with nature thanks to large windows, a terrace and a lake in the Alps outside the window.
