The plan of the tower building is triangular and offers tree zones, offering various possibilities of use (office space, housing, shopping area, etc.). We foresee different shapes of this floor plate, which generate the sculptu¬ral look of the project. The spine of the building consists out of tree vertical cores placed around a triangle, cre¬ating a basis for the main structure of the building. Around the floor plate, a structural skin (façade) in concrete defines the inner shape of the tower. A second skin is added, which is more transparent and light (glass and steel). The cavity between the two skins will act as a buffering air duct, managing the temperature of the tower. The outer façade will be provided with solar paneling, making the use of solar energy possible. Specific for the section of the building are the various shapes of the ‘patios’. Instead of making a vertical open core all the way up, a variety of smaller open spaces around the vertical circulation creates a more human scale for the project. In addition of the tower, we propose a ‘tail’ building. This dynamic volume offers a ‘micro’-context to the project, enhancing the relationship between the tower building and its immediate urban context.
