The luxury of the amplitude in space, which is evidenced by the transparency, is the conceptual axis of this intervention to a house built in the nineties in the residential area of Lagos del Sol in Cancun; in order to enhance the privileged views that are caused both from the inside, and towards this house of historicist features that resemble a villa with hipped roofs covered with green glazed tiles.

Its location makes it an element to see and be seen, facing the common park and central lake of the residential complex makes the proposal take the challenge of making this property a desirable asset, the action is to update and complete its spatial structure by reconfiguring elements of the facade with respect for the initial configuration, improving the spaces to achieve a better coexistence between the family and visitors.

The residence is composed of three bodies on two levels, the central body that houses the common areas and two side volumes where the four bedrooms, the study and the kitchen are located. These spaces are intervened in a respectful way with its geometry, rethinking the central space under the perspective of relating the internal with the external, from the space to be reflected in the coexistence. This space is opened, stripped of any obstacle that allows integration with the surrounding landscape, providing complementary spaces for this relationship to be fluid.

An oval plaza is both a reception area and an activity area that is integrated into the whole by the transparency of the limits, the elements contain a space that allows extending the daily life there.

Inside, a total restructuring with a steel structure as a box within the original structure results in a free floor plan with the elimination of the load-bearing walls which allows framing the exterior and facing the lake which adds to the experience as an extension of the pool-pond that precedes the room extending the domain to the landscape, which is flanked by two terraces that are a preamble to the garden.

Upstairs the central body houses the family room, again a meeting point, now among family members, which extends to the outside on a balcony that allows you to watch the sunset.

The garden is divided into two sections, a very functional one that allows to extend the coexistence and is related to the kitchen, which is limited by an orchard; The other private one where the inhabitants have a haven of tranquility surrounded by foliage of different shades and flowers which border a terrace for sunbathing, a small breakfast area, a reading room which can be accessed from the study.

Finally, this is a fabulous residence whose great presence in the residential complex is given by the spectacular location and setting, as well as the simplicity of its design.
