Woods Bagot’s design of Quadrant Energy’s new office fitout in Perth reflects significant internal changes in the company – with a shift away from individual offices to an open plan arrangement.
The 5000sqm workplace at Enex100 on 100 St Georges Terrace comes at a time of fundamental change for Quadrant Energy, who have not only embraced a new name, but also a fresh culture. Significant to the new fitout has been the introduction of a new inter-tenancy staircase, which encourages staff movement and chance interactions, as well as aiding the transfer of light throughout the tenancy and over the three levels. The new office space also provides shared meeting and social spaces, which are balanced by focus and respite areas.
Key wellness attributes have been vital to the design of the workplace. All work points are positioned to take advantage of the natural light and the staircase encourages physical movement. The incorporation of large amounts of natural greenery and the provision of generous spaces for focus and respite has resulted in a fresh work-life balance for the business.
Inspired by the natural landscape of the North West, where Quadrant Energy’s core activities are, the colour palette reflects a timeless light and natural base, which enables a layering of earthy colours and textures comprising of deep greens and rusty reds to create dynamic shared spaces.
