“Kaprys House” was designed by “Estudio Galera” and built in Cariló (Buenos Aires) in Argentina. A beautiful residence fully immersed into the natural surroundings and used as one of our many BIM Design examples that shows how advanced but simple to use rendering tools can easily get people to confuse a rendering with a real photo. Edificius allows the designer to go into great detail during the design process including lighting simulations and management, shading analysis and other special effects that increase the level of realism and amplify spatial perception; a great value for any professional involved in the architectural field making complicated illustration skills easy to use.
“Kaprys House” is a home located on a dune and in a woodland territory. Built mainly of concrete and with hollow brick partition walls combined with other stylish aluminium and wooden structures. These materials are easily used in Edificius because they’re all included in the materials and objects catalogue and ready to be used for any sort of project. Should the Architectural designer have specific material needs, importing textures and customizing the way they react in certain lighting conditions couldn’t be simpler.
Even the external environment is designed according to the actual topography of the building’s location thanks to the Terrain modelling editor that is included in Edificius. Real-time(*) animation allows you to see the results deriving from the various design decisions without having to wait several minutes to see the end result.
Integration with PriMus, the leading Bill of Quantities and Construction Cost Management solution allows the design team to have complete control over the cost administration aspects of the project featuring dynamic connections between the architectural and structural elements and the relating Rate code. This means that at any stage of the design process, adopting changes to the project means that the quantity take off and economic aspects are automatically updated. No need to manually correct the BoQ; it’s all taken care of by Edificius!
