Remodelling “ML House” using Edificius. Another inspirational project example completely remodelled using Edificius, the Architectural BIM Design software solution by ACCA.

ML House was designed by JPS Atelier architects in Oeiras – Portugal, who kindly provided floor plans and elevation views of the project allowing us to remodel this contemporary building using Edificius. The Video (link available below) helps understand how easy it is to produce plan views, sections and elevation views automatically and directly from the architectural design. Working Drawings can be easily customised with extra construction details, tables and schedules together with High Resolution rendered images.

ML House is a beautiful residence designed for a young couple and their two children. Located in Caxias, Portugal it perfectly stands out in its context for its contemporary personality. The street facing façade is designed with large windows and sun shielded by shading elements that also allow to maintain a comfortable level of privacy for the interior spaces.

Thanks to the animation, derived directly from the 3D model, we can appreciate the architecture of this project with a spectacular game of lights and shadows all produced dynamically in the Edificius real time rendering* engine. It took just 12 minutes to render the scenes at a screen resolution of 1920×1080 full HD video.

Edificius allows the designer to place exterior and interior lights and immediately see the effect at different times of the day too. Any changes in the 3D model involve automatic changes in all the relating architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations, isometric, etc.), even if the working drawings are already laid out these will be updated too.

Any doubts with the use of Edificius are easily solved thanks to the continuously evolving on-line Video Tutorial where several categories of short videos show the powerful but simple to use features behind Edificius. Other on-line services include Free program updates and a Forum where users can exchange their experiences and ask for help.
