Sound absorption is a crucial element of creating a restful senior living environment.
Inspire
City-Chic Design. Situated a short drive away from Tampa’s sun-splashed beaches, the new Renaissance at West River senior living apartment complex embraces the cool, contemporary style of its lively neighborhood. Its one- and two-bedroom residences feature open floor plans and large windows combined with the stringent acoustic standards necessary to ensure a relaxing environment for its 160 residents.
Create
Soothing Acoustics. Every element of Renaissance at West River, including flooring, was selected with its residents in mind. Colors were carefully chosen to infuse a sense of connection between residents and their new home. Additionally, all materials had to meet minimum International Code Council (ICC) requirements for sound transfer and impact noise.
Kris Young, AIA, Senior Associate and Architect at Baker Barrios, selected 20 different Patcraft products, including carpet tile with EcoWorx® backing. Carpet tile in Fabrix, Vault, Speak in Color, 5K and Color Choice in versatile grays, deep crimson, vibrant green and soothing blue combine with sleek, durable resilient in Wood Planx, Metallix Facet and Rectangle, Letterpress and Highland Forest in shades like Molten Orange, Aluminum and Charred Oak to create pathways for residents to follow to their upscale amenities: wellness center, gym, salon and computer studio.
The result is a tranquil living environment with a striking pattern and wayfinding color palette that blends with the building’s overall design style.
Transform
Transform Living. Renaissance at West River achieved its quest to offer an urban-chic, tranquil environment. The residents are satisfied with the outcome and they don’t need to worry about noisy distractions above, below or in the hallway – all they need to do is relax and enjoy life.
“ The factors driving our flooring selections were color and pattern, maintenance, code acoustics requirements and price.”
