The very compact-looking residential building BCU is located in a rural area and nestled in a densely planted property. The natural larch wood façade adds to this appearance. The interplay between lying and standing façade boards responds to the different proportions of the ground and first floor. The wooden façade functions as a reference to rural structures and interacts with the dense natural space. Due to the formation of a base the building seems to float above the ground without disturbing the surrounding natural environment. Safety and privacy come into being through the numerous trees in the garden and through the set-back body on the upper floor. The bedrooms have access to the flat roof terrace and grant undisturbed views of the surrounding landscape.
