Restoration for Adaptive Reuse as Heritage Hotel- Tijara Fort, Rajasthan (India)

Restoration for Adaptive Reuse as Heritage Hotel- Tijara Fort, Rajasthan (India)

We are working on Restoration for Adaptive Reuse of Tijara Fort-Palace as a Heritage Hotel.

History of Tijara Fort-Palace: The foundation stone for Tijara Fort Palace was laid in 1835, and built by Rao Raja Balwant Singh, the morganatic son of Maharaja Bakhtawar Singh of Alwar from his favorite mistress Rani Moosi. Since Rani Mossi mounted the Maharaja's funeral pyre to become a 'sati', she was declared the Maharani and her son thereby became the Maharaja! This fort-palace was built by craftsmen and masons from imperial Delhi and Kabul over a period of 13 years, before the Maharaja mysteriously died in 1848.
