This project is a restoration and interior renovation of a 2,600 sq ft residence completed in 2024. The intervention focused on retaining the spatial qualities of the original house while adapting it to contemporary living requirements. 

Key architectural elements including deep window openings, patterned metal grills, terrazzo flooring, and a generous living–dining volume were preserved and restored. Rather than replacing these features, the design approach emphasized repair, refinement, and continuity. Original details were conserved and integrated into the updated spatial layout. Repetition and proportion guide the design strategy. The rhythm of the window grills establishes a consistent geometric language across the façade and interior spaces. Pendant lighting reinforces the existing symmetry, while the continuity of terrazzo flooring connects public and private areas, maintaining material coherence throughout the house. 

Much of the existing furniture was retained and restored. Pieces were repaired, refinished, and repositioned within the revised layout, supporting both sustainability and continuity with the home’s original character. New insertions including custom joinery and storage were introduced with restraint. These contemporary interventions were designed to complement, rather than dominate, the restored architectural framework. The project results in a cohesive and balanced residence where preservation and adaptation coexist through clarity of geometry, material continuity, and controlled intervention.
