The new Rikar’s optics store arrives right in the center of Turin. The main goal was to capture and interpret the atmosphere of the place, with references to the history of design through a highly contemporary reinterpretation.
Current materials and shapes, defined and sculptural volumes lightened by the mirroring metal and softened by the wood: these are the distinctive features.
An illusion of reflections and mirroring materials that aim to widen the space in width and enhance the double height of the first room.
The space is organized on two levels. On the ground floor, the display of sunglasses and eyeglasses of the moment is unfolded on displays characterized by curvilinear shapes enhanced by bronzed metal and satin stainless steel broken by sharp edges for the storage spaces. Metal is justaxposed by green porphyry and heat-treated acacia wood, two materials with a strong presence, which warm the environment and define the broken volumes.
The exhibitor that develops in height announces the volume of the staircase created by a broken sequence of bronze colored glass in paste, bringing the gaze to the mezzanine floor, which instead houses the vintage collection.
