What was the brief?

To transform a delipidated Victorian terraced house for a contractor and his family, with more than a hint of their native New Zealand.

What were the key challenges?

Achieving a high end look, across a large property on a relatively modest budget.

What materials did you choose and why?

Lots of industrial materials of brick, steel, concrete and wood to emulate the rawness of the construction of their native New Zealand homes.

Material Used :
1. Facade cladding: London Stock brick
2. Flooring: Microcement floor from Top Cement in kitchen. Limewashed oak flooring from Burke Bros in bedroom and rest of house.
3. Wall finishes: Polished Venetian plaster to WC
4. Doors: Black Oak Veneer solid core – Todd Doors.
5. Windows: Steel-framed doors – Clement Windows.
6. Roofing: GRP by main contractor
7. Interior lighting: Tove Ceiling Pendant by Cox and Cox
8. Interior furniture: Sofas from Barker and Stonehouse
9. Kitchen: Hand made wall units clad in recycled Oregon Pine, from an old Polish Barn. Island clad in Burned Yosemite Panels from Xylocleafe.
a. Bar Stools from French Connection
10. Blinds: Silent Gliss
