This five-bedroom Victorian property in Wimbledon has been extended and refurbished to perfectly fit the needs of our clients.
The primary brief was to replace an existing conservatory and extend into the garden, creating a large modern kitchen and living space, and achieving a better connection between home and garden.
The solution was to remove the conservatory and create a large, multi-level and open plan kitchen living space. A sunken lounge features a large corner window that maximises the natural light and views across the garden. The pitched roof enhances head height and draws light in through the high level angled windows, which are accentuated by zinc-clad fascias.
The kitchen and pantry were made bespoke by the contractor, GSB Building.
To create the garden connection we have used the significant level change to create stepped terraces to accommodate a separate social and quiet spot in the garden. The upper terrace sits flush with the internal floor level to provide a smooth transition between the external and internal areas.
Our clients are delighted with the end result:
“We would definitely recommend Granit to anyone needing an Architect, especially if they’re looking for something a little different. They really do make dreams come true.”
