Rio da Várzea House

The initial aim of this project was the creation of a space that would unite indoors with outdoors, without losing privacy. Due to the limitation of the land (360m2), the idea was to ensure the best use of the spaces, considering the angle of the sun. It is a large residence, with a social area fully connected to the external area. The absence of walls and the use of frames ensures the full use of the natural light. In addition, both the plate glass as well as the extension of the upper floor over the lower floor ensures better thermal comfort. Energy saving was also considered an essential factor for this project.
