Carla Guilhem as Architects

The 9000 sq. ft residential project is located at Great Neck Bay- Long Island, with an incredible Manhattan’s view.

Geometric and Organic

The contradiction between two forms, City and nature working together.

How to integrate the nature in a modern geometric residential?

How to integrate the geometric forms with the nature and the view?

How to work in harmony with the antagonism of the shapes?

Every space was designed based on that concept. The same concept was used for the client’s style of life.

How to live the chaos and the city’s stress but at the same time create a contact with the nature?

How to be calm and mindful in a space after a stressful day in a big city?

The integration and harmonization of these two worlds provide to the project a modern but warm interior. The colors pop up,  the gray concrete and a lot tons of wood integrate the space with the view. The spaces emanate peace but at the same time is powered by the city’s energy.
