The existing dwelling is located in a quite area, the street only serves a farm and some fields. The existing house includes two volumes of a very classical architecture : the main volume with the living and night spaces and a second one with the garage.
The extension has a radically contemporary architecture and slips next to the main volume on the back facade. The black color used on the extension has an effect of contrast with the existing and an effect of unity with the extension itself (panels, windows, …).
The very strong identity is accentuated by the important work of the mass of the new volume.
