Rodra Arq signs the project for a residence of approximately 130m², located in a preserved forest area. Inspired by traditional barns, the design was conceived to engage with the surrounding landscape, resulting in authentic architecture that respects the natural beauty of the environment.
Ebony wood is the main element in the cladding, reinforcing the rustic and timeless aesthetic. The brise supports at the entrance, as well as all the castilhos, were designed to evoke the construction of classic barns, conjuring the atmosphere of a farmstead. The wookwork plays an essential role in the project, serving as the base for the mezzanine and stairs, while the front castilhos were developed in metalwork, ensuring a balance between sturdiness and delicacy.
To reinforce the vintage concept, the selection of appliances followed a retro line, bringing references that evoke the past while maintaining contemporary functionality. The project also emphasizes moments of contemplation: two bathtubs, strategically positioned, offer a privileged view of the reserve and the vineyards, providing a unique experience of connection with nature
As a final touch, an unexpected and highly personal element was incorporated into the gourmet space: a vintage van, positioned next to the barbecue, adding charm and authenticity to the social area. The result is a space that celebrates tradition and coziness, without losing sophistication or harmony with the surrounding landscape.
