The studio is situated in a 140-year-old building which has been renovated several times, but never before has renovation been carried out with utmost determination to use only natural materials. The new interior references the original design, so it feels cohesive, but also modern. A new layer of lime plaster was put on the ceilings and the walls, which were then painted with a layer of clay paint. All the wood for the furniture, including the flooring, comes from the client’s own forest, which had to be cut down due to new highway plans in the area.
