A new headquarters for an iconic Byron Bay fashion studio.
An open plan workspace that pivots around a central dining table. This office was conceived of like a family home, with the kitchen and dining spaces at the heart. This approach promotes interaction between the staff, and also presents the company like a family to any visitors.
The original building had a large double–height space at the rear, with natural light only coming in from the tenancy frontage. A lantern-like meeting room was constructed out of fibreglass and pine, a simple & cost effective construction method that worked with the tight time-frames. This opaque room allows natural light to flood through the tenancy into the kitchen areas.
The double-height void at the rear is punctuated by two large skylight pendants, which draw natural light into the back of the tenancy.
