10 small rental apartment units of 25 to 50 square meters were designed for DINKS and single people in their early thirties. Large number of medium-scale high-density housing complexes has been planned in small plots of land in the central Tokyo. These act as ‘temporally’ houses and base of life in Tokyo for those who prize convenience and choose to live close to their work. This cannot be considered affluent lifestyle in general and it is necessary to redefine these uncompleted living spaces linked to the town. Each unit is designed to be open to the empty spaces in town. Openings provided are like alcoves with side open towards the empty spaces which are acting as a common space. The housing complex is free from neighbors’ eyes and linked to the town. Nomadic life of Tokyo is reflected in this housing complex.
