The corner rowhouse built in the postwar period is situated in the corner of the plot and used do give room to a big garden. The extension materialised in concrete newly structures the outside into two different spacial situations: an intimate courtyard with urban character and an open, original garden layout with existing trees. The small house, docked to the row of houses on one side, was extensively renovated and through the extension gained double the living space. Visual references between the two connected structures and continuous flooring create a connection between the old and the new spaces.
