The building was designed on an extremely small plot located in Wola Justowska in Kraków. The immediate vicinity of the location are single-family buildings from the 1980s and 1990s and old and tall trees growing along the road.
This particular plot, unlike the neighboring ones, remained undeveloped for many years. The cause was probably a low-voltage overhead line pole located approximately in the middle of its width, which prevented its rational development.

The design challenge turned out to be meeting the ambitious expectations of investors; to fit a building on 405 m2 that will provide residents with space for a rich functional program and also provide an appropriate amount of privacy.
The clash of these expectations and the existing context gave birth to the idea of ​​the House - Screen, i.e. a building that will serve as a shield without being a barrier.
The developed concept provides for a building entirely covered with translucent panels, which, like shutters, can open or close depending on the current needs of users. Their function, in addition to regulating the degree of privacy, is also a substructure for vines and other greenery, which gradually grows on the facade and should, over time, build another green layer of the screen.

Due to the proximity of neighboring buildings and the small width of the plot, the house has most of the glazing located on the front and garden facade. The designed functional program was planned on 4 levels; from the basement to the green terrace on the roof. One of the design assumptions was to achieve the impression that the building was partially "levitating" on the surface. Hence the suspension of the ground floor over the entrance to the garage and massive balconies facing the garden.
