This project combines several stories, but it is reasonable to start with the history of the building. Tryokhgorka (a short name for Tryokhgornaya manufacture) has a short but remarkable history. In 1905, the territory of the manufacture was a gathering place for armed workers’ detachment. In one shop, weapon was made and in the other – bombs. Our goal was to turn four dilapidated spaces into a state-of-the-art fitness club with a special atmosphere motivating to self-development, while keep the energy of the huge manufacture and its historical walls.

When creating loft-style designs, it is important not to spoil the space you are working with. We still had to remove some of the internal walls but we did our best to preserve the large hall as it was. We improved some details to round out the look. We made concrete window jambs to enhance the beauty of old blast cleaned bricks. We partly opened the arcs in front of the windows and filled with mirrors to invite air into the space. In the yoga, pilates and stretching rooms the atmosphere is completely different – the white painted walls, light wood laminate flooring, columns are wrapped around with rope for safety reasons.

Grey color dominates in the entrance space with a cloakroom and a cafe. Here you can see a lot of concrete and wood. The idea was to make this space neutral and relaxing. We want the visitors to be wonder why they are active and full of energy in some rooms and relaxed in other rooms. Good design is always unnoticeable.
