The commonplace and the facilities all along the coast are the bases for the design of the service modules for the metropolitan beaches. Being for a commonplace means the items should be made of the same materials, have the same shapes and be suitable for the environment and the landscape. These items should provide for different uses by means of the same basic construction system, keeping the room down to the minimum.

A cube is proposed as the basic element. Its formal simplicity makes it easy to transport and set up, while repetition and aggregation allow for the different functions.

The basic construction system is a cub of 2.5 metres long edges with metal structure, ceramic mosaic covering four of its sides and glass and lattice the other two. 

Ceramic mosaic is a recyclable material, easily repairable and has a wide colour range, linked to the Mediterranean artisan tradition and related to water and bathing.

A wooden pavement and pergola increase the external space where aggregation happens.

Environmental improvements involving the design of beach CUBIK modules are as follows:

- Modulation: use of the cube as a basic element of manufacturing for all elements of services in the beaches with a rationalization of the dimensions to have the maximum indoor equipment and simultaneously occupy the minimum space of sand, and to facilitate transport, assembly and disassembly operations of each season.

- Natural Ventilation: achieve maximum transparency on the sea-mountain sense provided the natural cross-ventilation i avoid the use of air conditioning machines.

- Materials Recyclables:

o  Use of mosaic ceramic for exterior and interior, and even on the cover lining and interior flooring, with long Mediterranean tradition, in different colors to identify the use of each module

o  Use of wood from forests of reforestation for ceiling and floor of the pergola.

All modules are accessible without unevenness between the inner and outer platforms. Disabled toilet module is also equipped as a dressing room and access to the toilet can be made by all sides.
