The future of Sparkasse banking is emerging in Berlin within sight of the historic Konzerthaus at Gendarmenmarkt. In cooperation with S-Kreditpartner, mintdesign created the SKPlab: a place to come together for initiators and innovators in the heart of the city. The SKPlab offers space for the development of exciting future projects. Here, innovations are to be created on both a digital and personal level.

For mintdesign, the basic requirements for the design of a place like this were quickly clear: the majority of the space should be multifunctional and flexibly usable - for events, one-on-one meetings, parties and seminars as well as for discussions and screenings. The aim was to design and create a powerhouse of ideas.

The finished lab with its workshop character not only shows the innovator role of SKP, the space also provides plenty of room for new types of events and ways of thinking: with an openly designed room concept, the lab can be used as required and filled with life.

Flexible furnishing scenarios allow the space to be used as a showroom, workshop area or as a co-working space. Supplemented by permanent workstations for the employees, the SKPlab offers optimal conditions to enable innovations - and thus to contribute to the long-term success of S-Kreditpartner.
