JGMA is currently designing Smith Electric Vehicles (SEV) new headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. The new facility will be used to develop and assemble the United States first zero energy commercial electric truck. The 100,000 sq.ft. program includes research and development areas, administrative areas, and an assembly area.
SEV challenged JGMA to design a facility that would educate and inspire visitors and employees on a daily basis. JGMA's response was to design a facility as a living laboratory. Where all aspects of sustainability could be tangibly experienced and used to develop improved efficiency over the life of the building.
