Located on Alfonso XII Street in Seville, SR CANGREJO is conceived as an interior design project where materials, lighting, and spatial composition come together to create an immersive and sophisticated dining experience. The design employs a restrained and elegant architectural language, based on a combination of natural materials, clean geometries, and carefully integrated lighting.

The space’s identity is defined by a palette of dark, charred-effect woods, stone cladding, and natural textures. The continuous acacia wood flooring lends warmth and continuity to the interior layout, while the natural stone and sisal cladding at the bar introduce textural contrast and lend the space a more artisanal feel.

The interior layout uses lattices, vertical paneling, and visual screens to create different levels of intimacy and spatial depth. The furniture, consisting of solid wood tables and seating in dark wood and natural leather, maintains a contemporary and refined aesthetic. The built-in cabinets feature sculptural marble handles designed as functional elements of great compositional value.

Lighting is conceived as one of the project’s key elements, achieved through indirect lighting, integrated backlighting, and decorative fixtures made of natural fibers and paper inspired by Eastern traditions, which lend warmth and a theatrical quality to the space. The combination of warm reflections, shadows, and fine materials creates an enveloping and deeply sensory atmosphere.

As an extension of the interior experience, the patio is conceived as a space for calm and relaxation, featuring a built-in wooden bench, decorative gravel, vegetation, and sculptural natural elements that reinforce the connection between architecture and nature.

SR CANGREJO thus offers a dining experience where architecture, lighting, and materials converge in a contemporary, elegant, and experiential language.
