Located in the heart of the metropolis of São Paulo—a city marked by noise, density, and a fast-paced rhythm—this apartment was designed as a true urban retreat. The project’s concept stems from the desire to shield oneself from the city’s tense, gray atmosphere and, in contrast, create an environment that conveys calm, contemplation, and tranquility.
This refuge is brought to life through a deeply sensory approach. The garden-style floor plan, with its spacious terrace, served as the starting point for crafting these atmospheres. The outdoor area was conceived as a void brimming with life—a space where light, wind, textures, and natural elements interact. Stone, vegetation, the sound of the wind, and an abundance of natural light take center stage in this narrative. All interior spaces—with the exception of one bedroom—open onto this terrace, capturing its tactile and visual richness and extending these qualities into the apartment.
Even the bedroom without direct access to the terrace embodies the same essence, featuring an indoor garden, abundant light, and a sense of breathing room. The outdoor area, in turn, serves as a living frame for the interiors, offering a natural and dynamic backdrop that changes throughout the day.

Inside, natural materials remain present, though with a sophisticated, urban twist. Wood, for example, lines the entire perimeter of the living area with walnut panels. These panels do not reach the ceiling—they end below the beam, creating visual breathing room and allowing white light to fill the upper space, expanding the sense of scale and enhancing indirect lighting.
The concept of an urban retreat is thus reinforced by the conscious choice of materials that evoke nature—wood, stone, light, and greenery—but reinterpreted with sophistication, coherence, and precision. The furniture follows this same aesthetic: urban, elegant, and proportionate, without rustic excesses, further emphasizing the contrast with the chaos outside.
This apartment is not just a place to live, but a place for respite and reconnection, where nature meets the city and silence becomes an attainable luxury.
