The Sud’@lternance residence is located within the Montpellier-Sète university site (IUT), respecting the wooded environment characteristic of the place.
All the accommodations benefit of a perfect orientation and awning providing sun protection. The passageway to the studios are mostly exterior, offering beautiful view of the omnipresent vegetation, while naturally promoting discussion and conviviality.
The assembleis made up of two buildings, themselves divided into several "houses" connected by exterior passageways. The reception hall, perfectly identifiable by its large crossing pane,filters access. It is an invitation to discover the central "square" which concentrates the activity and from which the stairs and walkwayslead to the studios.
For a perfect integration on the site, the colors of the facades, "earth of garigue" and white, were chosen in coherence with the surrounding nature and in the continuity of the facade of the Maison sud’@lternance. Passageways are supported by inclined post, running all the way up, which recalls the trunks of the surrounding trees. A motif evoking the vegetated nature is declined in signature on the elements in lacquered perforated metal (awning, railing and caps). A scratched plaster on some parts of the facade, reinforcing the raw and wooded aspect, completes the integration of the residence within this exceptional green setting.
