The summer pavilion is a small intervention located at the end of a garden of a private house. The new space is not enclosed by a wall or window. It is exclusively closed by shades made of wooden slats that filter the natural light at day and in combination with the artificial light at night, create a warm intimate atmosphere. The permeability of the shades create a sense of gentle skin between inside and outside that is reinforced by the skylights located all along the rear of the pavillion which enlighten the back wall with reflexes that shine according to the movement of the sun. Ventilation and lighting are natural and filtered through the roof and the shades, thus designing a place for contemplation and gathering.
