For the Fall 2011 Press Preview of Swarovski Crystallized™, we were commissioned to design an installation that would evoke the country + floral inspirations of the collection, while immersing the viewer in the wide array of custom designed jewelry pieces.
Laying a dramatic graphic vinyl print of burled ash across the floor set an elegantly warm tone and texture to the space. White display pedestals were arranged askew to the walls, almost 'dancing' down the length of the space as terraced stones in a field. Inspired by the boxes of Joseph Cornell, we framed the display vitrines with aged white-washed wood, and white battenburg lace backings. Floral arrangements of cattails, dogwood and lush green rushes softened the compositions. Additional printed graphics included a designer name wall, as well 'framed burled wood panels' in trompe l'oeil that provided additional display surfaces for the collection.
