Floren creates a tailor made brick for a prestigious project in Mechelen (Belgium)

Floren has created a tailor made brick for an important project on a premium location in the centre or Mechelen (Belgium). The architect Mr Patrick Lootens inquired for a beige/white shaded brick, made rough and irregular on the surface and in an extended size of 275mm. He designed an eye-catching building with different wall dimensions, breaking up the surface in the main street of Mechelen in 3 different levels. Furthermore, deeper joints were applied to highlight the extended horizontal lines of the building. In the central part, some layers were moved forward and joints were leveled with the bricks in order to obtain a 3-dimensional effect. This project can be visited in Mechelen, on the Bruul. Floren afterwards created Pallas, a more shaded variety of this brick.
