Two joinery inserts, connected by a custom-designed wallpaper, resolve—through their deliberately simple geometry—the spatial complexity of the original architecture of a 1980s condominium apartment (PPE), characterized by multiple 45-degree angles.
Precisely positioned, these elements successively function as an entrance hall and kitchen, before transforming, within the bedroom, into a small hall-dressing area, establishing a subtle connection between the bathroom and the bedroom.
Modest in their expression, these interventions introduce a welcome sense of spatial breathing while bringing a subtle representational quality to the newly reconfigured spaces.
