Taouk Studio creates spaces that balance precise detailing, clear spatial planning, and a deep connection to nature. Using a refined palette of timber, stone, and glass, the design combines restraint with expression. Marble edges curve like sculpture, and timber joinery is crafted with precision—a quiet monument to skill and permanence.

The studio is housed within a heritage building originally constructed in 1889. Through an extensive renovation and fitout, we paid homage to its history while bringing it into the present. The design respects the character of the past while introducing contemporary layers that enhance functionality and comfort.

Natural light plays a central role, softening and humanizing the architecture. A sculptural oval void with a generous opening brings fluidity and brightness, shifting the atmosphere as the day unfolds. Lush, carefully chosen plants are woven into the design—not as decoration, but as an essential architectural layer. Positioned to thrive in natural light, they bring vitality, calm, and balance to the space while supporting wellbeing.

The design sets up a dialogue: solid architectural form balanced with light and nature’s ephemerality. The result is a space that feels grounded yet alive. It celebrates the precision of modern detailing while embracing the warmth of biophilic design.
