Located within the Universidade Positivo campus, the Grande Teatro Positivo has a capacity of 2,400 spectators and is considered one of the largest theaters in Brazil.
Its arena-style arrangement and steep slope were inspired by the Greek theater of Epidaurus, carved into a mountainside and renowned for its excellent acoustics, allowing for great visibility from any point in the audience.
The building is made up of 3 large volumes that relate to one another and clearly define the theater's main sectors: foyer, auditorium, and stage.
The exterior cladding contrasts and alternates the use of concrete, glass, and white ceramic tiles with red sandstone, a stone typical of Paraná.
A marquee highlights the main entrance and leads to the large foyer, equipped with a concession stand and coat check, which welcomes the public and provides access to the auditorium and to the set of 4 boxes, which have a support lounge for receiving small groups.
