For more than 20 years, Tecnigrifos and TIG have consolidated themselves as leading brands in the commercialization and national production of bathroom and kitchen accessories, such as faucets, showers, and commercial-grade sanitaryware. Their trajectory has been characterized by a broad and specialized portfolio, ranging from high-aesthetic pieces to essential spare parts for home maintenance.
Starting from this product diversity, the challenge of the project was to rethink the traditional shopping experience and transform it into an exhibition perceived more as a design gallery than a conventional hardware store. The main objective was to grant absolute prominence to the finishes, shapes, and details of the faucets, framing them within a sober and sophisticated contemporary environment.
When the product is the central axis of the space, the architecture must function as a neutral canvas. For this reason, a palette of dark tones, blacks, and grays was chosen for ceilings, walls, and main structures, creating an elegant and timeless background. On this controlled base, the metallic glints of the products gain greater visual strength, dialoguing with the industrial character of the metal sheeting and contrasting with the specific warmth of the wooden elements.
Lighting becomes the key tool for establishing hierarchy within the space. Large circular luminaires provide general light, while integrated LED lighting in shelving and under ledges accentuates each exhibited piece. This play of light and shadow generates a high-contrast environment that directs the gaze toward the essential—the product—highlighting its materials, textures, and glossy finishes.
The custom-designed furniture plays a fundamental role, both aesthetically and functionally. Its mobile fronts and surfaces allow the display configurations to be modified according to commercial needs, facilitating product rotation for the salesperson and a clear, comparative reading of the pieces for the customer. This flexibility reinforces the shopping experience, making it more intuitive and attractive.
The design strategy is clear and coherent, where the products are the protagonists. In this way, the space becomes a direct extension of the brand and its way of understanding and presenting the product, elevating the hardware store to a “gourmet” experience where functionality and aesthetics coexist in balance.
