What was the brief?
The objective was to design a positive energy housing tower at the cost of the real estate market.

What were the key challenges?
We first thought about the plan so that it would have the maximum amount of south-facing facades and the minimum amount of north-facing facades for better energy efficiency.
Then we designed the window locations and the facades according to the dimensions of the aluminum cladding sheets so that there was zero material waste.
These optimizations allowed us to offer a large common area on the top floor enjoying a panoramic view of the city.

What materials did you choose and why?
We used semi-transparent solar collectors for the south facade in front of the loggias.
Opaque sensors in casing for the east and west facades and the roof.
And lacquered Alucobond aluminum plates for the facades.
