TELECOMMUNICATION MNC

The office premises for a leading telecommunication MNC stand at one of Pune’s busiest and most prominent junctions. Against this vibrant urban context, the design transforms the workplace into a well-curated contemporary office interior that balances openness, collaboration, functionality, and visual dynamism.

The client’s vision of an open and collaborative workplace remained at the core of the space planning. Generously proportioned workstations, seamless circulation, and unobstructed passages create a sense of openness while ensuring functional ergonomics and ease of movement. Minimal glass partitions further reinforce the visual continuity across the workspace.

Drawing inspiration from the ever-changing landscape of the Deccan Plateau, the material palette takes cues from the monsoon colours found across the Sahyadri ranges. The vivid seasonal Flame Lily becomes the central visual inspiration. Much like its striking colours emerging amidst the lush greens and rugged basalt landscapes of the Sahyadris, vibrant gradients are introduced across partitions, creating visual accents while also helping to soften acoustic reflections.

This contextual narrative extends to the flooring, where carpet patterns subtly define different work zones while maintaining a consistent palette of vibrant undertones. Circulation areas are expressed in muted greys, creating a deliberate contrast that allows the accent colours to stand out. The open-plenum ceiling is treated with Resimer Acoustic foam panels in sharp black, recalling the dark, wet basalt formations of the Deccan landscape. Together with the cushion-backed modular carpet flooring, the acoustic treatment contributes to a more comfortable and controlled work environment.

Large windows along the perimeter bring abundant natural daylight deep into the office. The limited use of glass partitions ensures that this daylight remains uninterrupted across the workspace, creating a balanced relationship between natural illumination and task lighting.

The cafeteria on the ground floor acts as a shared social hub for employees. Here, the conceptual colour palette becomes more expressive, with large communal tables, grey and vibrant orange seating, and a dynamic suspended ceiling creating an informal and energetic atmosphere. The ceiling composition uses varying lengths and colours from the same palette, becoming a strong visual element that is particularly striking from the exterior in the evenings when the linear lights are illuminated.

Overall, the office remains rooted in its conceptual narrative while responding to the functional requirements of a contemporary corporate workplace. It brings together modern workspace planning and a poetic interpretation of the surrounding landscape, creating an environment that is both globally relevant and locally rooted.

The interiors are conceived around the principles of material circularity, environmental consciousness, and user-oriented vibrancy. In essence, the project celebrates the local terrain, culture, and people while creating a contemporary workplace aligned with the expectations of a global corporate environment.
