The Aldrich House explores the concept of gathering and collecting individual spaces and program under the fluidity of a single gesture; the roof. Inspired by the very waterfront the site looks out on to, the roof effortlessly glides and transforms over the terrain. The light is encouraged to wash over the concrete surface exposing the subtlety, elegance and delicate nature of the curves. The form and spaces have been arranged to explore the full potential of such a site, aligning the interior walls and elements to gesture the gaze continuously out and over onto the breathtaking view.
