The Chaillot theatre required interventions to improve functional and regulatory requirements that J. CARLU's 1936 design no longer provided.
- Restoring the public reception by rehabilitating the historic access on the Seine side, reopening the very imposing historic façade on the Place de Varsovie.
- Rebuild a scenographic tool adapted to the TNC's renewed programming.
- The current Salle F. Gémier has been completely rebuilt to offer a modular hall with a seating capacity of 390, equipped with a very large backstage area that multiplies the scenic possibilities.
- To find an efficient logistical and scenic access for the 2 halls by digging a tunnel in the former quarries under the Palais de Chaillot in order to reach the access for heavy vehicles via the Avenue du Président Wilson.
The renovation of these historic premises goes hand in hand with the upgrading of the rehabilitated parts to fire safety standards and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
