The summerhouse is located in central northern Iceland in a picturesque surrounding with mountains to the west and north. The site is prominent and located above Eyjafjordur. Through large glass windows at either end of the open living space there are views of the fjord to the north and south. The west wall closes the views of passing traffic on the highway below creating a feeling of privacy for the user. The house sits on a wood terrace that runs around the building providing sheltered outdoor areas. The building is clad in natural materials in earth tones featuring zink roofing and jatoba siding. The building is designed around a visual-concrete wall that separates the living area from the private bedroom area. The interior includesnatural stone and jatoba wood flooring and ceiling.
